Methodist Medical Group welcomes new president

DALLAS — Methodist Medical Group is pleased to announce that John Myers, MD, MS, FACEP, FAAP, has joined Methodist Medical Group (MMG) as President. In this role, Dr. Myers will work with the nearly 1,000 physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, leadership, and staff in MMG to further enhance clinical excellence, physician engagement, patient satisfaction, and resource stewardship.

In addition to being a double-board-certified physician, Dr. Myers possesses 25 years of experience with a proven track record of successful practice management, execution, and value creation.

Before joining Methodist Medical Group, Dr. Myers served as the President of White Rock Medical Group, a multi-specialty group including primary care, specialists and hospital-based provider services. In the past, he was also the CEO of Envision Healthcare – Central U.S. Division and Questcare Medical Services, a premier multi-specialty, integrated, population healthcare organization with more than 1,200 healthcare providers delivering care in more than 90 facilities throughout the southern United States.

Dr. Myers received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Texas Christian University and his doctor of medicine degree at Texas Tech University, and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of California-Irvine. From there, he went to Baylor College of Medicine and completed his pediatric emergency medicine fellowship. After practicing for about 10 years, he decided to pursue his master of science degree in healthcare management at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he graduated with honors.
